When I had to let my 10 year old dog Harry get castrated as advised by the vet because of probable prostate problems in the future, I found myself feeling quite uncomfortable about the whole procedure. Afterwards, the first more alert and jumpey Harry, became way lazier and calmer. I got extremely uncomfortable with the decision I had made. I still feel this underlying sense of quilt, feeling like I 'frankensteined' my dog.
